The Broncos were scheduled to play in the Super the next week, but the team was forced to cancel the game after officials discovered a potential match fixing scandal.
The Broncos announced Thursday that they would not play in Super Bowl 50 on Feb. 5 in Santa Clara, California, due to “a potential match-fixing issue.”
The Broncos said in a statement that the issue was discovered on Sunday.
The team was expected to play two games against the New York Giants and the Philadelphia Eagles.
The Broncos are scheduled to take on the Seahawks on Sunday, and the team will host the Cardinals on Monday.
